Read About Us

We are a Catholic Church, but not Roman Catholic. Sacred Heart of Jesus is a Christian community. It welcomes and serves the spiritual needs of all people who wish to follow Christ.

We are part of the Western Diocese of the Polish National Catholic Church. Our parish was organized in 1914 in Cleveland located on West 14th Street, and relocated to Walton Hills in 1988. Our mission is to continue the work of Jesus and to help everyone experience the love and mercy of God.

  • We are an Apostolic church... preserving the Apostolic succession

  • We are a non-celibacy church… our priests in the church can marry and have families which allows them to better understand real life challenges when counseling people

  • We are a sacramental church... we have all seven sacraments

  • We are a democratic church... in which the clergy and laity interact responsibly in church policy.

  • We are a living church... believing in the power of prayer and God's Fatherly guidance in our lives.

CAN I BE A PART OF SACRED HEART OF JESUS?

What if I am divorced?
You will find no discriminatory action against those who have already been adversely affected by divorce. The Church stands ready to help those whose marital unions have suffered separation.

Can a divorced and remarried person receive the Eucharist?
Yes, however, it is recommended that you check with your pastor.

Birth Control.
What does the church say about it? It is a personal matter between the husband and wife.

YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

Join us after church services every Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. for coffee, pastry, and fellowship in our adjacent hall. We are easily accessible on Alexander Road between Dunham and Canal.
